Sneakers

September 6, 2011

Buy new walking or workout shoes.  Did you know that sneakers have mileage?  I contacted Asics (the sneaker I choose) and they let me know that sneakers are good for warranty on average for six months/300-500 miles (on average 2000 steps is a mile).

Overwhelmed?

May 23, 2011

Want to get organized and don’t know where to start?  Start with one type of item.  Decide that today you want to deal with your shoe issue.  Get your shoes together, make a decision on what to keep and what to donate and then make it happen.  For today, just choose one item and ignore the rest.  With success, tomorrow you can choose – ah – maybe coats. . .

Etiquette

May 16, 2011

This week’s focus is National Etiquette Week!  Today as I was driving and several cars did not use their directionals, I realize how lazy with courtesy we have become. So my suggestion for the project of the week is to focus on your manners.  Do you yawn – even in the car – without covering your mouth?  Do you eat with your mouth open?  Think about how you are behaving that your mother might smack you in the head for!  And remember, PLEASE, THANK YOU, EXCUSE ME, are easy to say.  Use the directionals that you have been taught and that come standard in your car – practice etiquette.

Time for Planting

May 9, 2011

and planning the coming months.  You know the ones full of fun and freedom of movement – OUTSIDE.  Today, make it a point if you have not planted your annuals to plan on that for next weekend.  Plant something.  Apartment dweller – buy a window herb garden or simply a hanging plant to bring you the splendor of the season.  Each May, the first opportunity I get, I throw an “opening day” party.  Friends and family gather to start the season off right by enjoying the opening of my patio.  This day is fast approaching, annuals are planted, fire pit filled with the sticks dropped on the lawn from winter’s fury and the barbeque cleaned and the freezer full.  Plan you season by organizing your plan, then take ACTION.

Spring Cleaning

April 19, 2011

Tuesday’s tip this week – DO NOT BUY NEW CLEANING PRODUCTS.  You already have what you need in your cabinets and vanities.  Start here and pull everything out from underneath.  Use what is there.  I am sure you will not run out and if you do, if you need a new all purpose cleaner – this week’s featured recommendation is Fabulouso – wow, does it do the job and it smells FABULOUSO!
