Did you know that mild soap and water will take care of those CDs? Are they skipping? Give them a wash and get them back!
CDs – Do You Have Them?
July 18, 2011
How do you organize them? This was the question of the week to me. The answer is for me, I organize them into groups of mixes – for example, Fleetwood Mac Rumours, The Best of the Band, Carol King’s Tapestry, Sheryl Crow’s C’mon C’mon, Jim Croce’s His Greatest Hits and Matchbox 20′s Yourself or Someone Like You are kept together because I have a six CD changer and for random play, this is a great collection. Now I have a client that wants to sell her condo – she had her CDs in plastic CD cases (not attractive to potential buyers) and had them alphabetized. I did disorganize her a bit because I removed CDs by their jacket color to display on a shelf adding visual organization than enhance the room. Choose what way you want to see your CDs or find them or use them and Create Your New Order.
Oil Stains

Removing oil stains – Johnson’s Baby Shampoo is one of the best degreasers on the market. Use it on a wet rag and work out your stain. I cleaned out my car yesterday and now my car also smells great!
Tuesday’s Tip

Use jars to organize. Those items you have in your home that sort of collect in drawers – matches, rubber bands, hair ties – you know what you have that take up space and aggravate! Purchase attractive jars that match your decor and store these items for quick recovery and return when needed.

In professional organizing, one of our tricks of the trade is to use three different types of plastic garbage bags. Black is used for garbage/discard, white for donations and clear for items to sell. This makes it easy when you have to go back to see what’s in the bag. This is the only time bags are your friend!
